The very first thing that all landlords should know about Shorey’s is that we are “Licensed Agents”, we are ARLA (Association or Residential Letting Agents) Members.

This means that you, your property and money are safe in our hands.  As Arla accredited agents, you as a landlord will have the automatic benefit a client money protection scheme; know that we have to adhere to a very strict code of practice, and the associations byelaws. They operate an independant redress scheme and carry a full professional indemnity insurance.

STUDENT PROPERTY

We have specialised in student accommodation since 1981; we are leaders in setting the standards that students of today have come to expect and appreciate. We only offer full management for student accommodation. This is because students trust in our reputation as managing agents; are able to offer them all inclusive packages that include; regular cleaners, pay for gas, electric and water and have a bespoke system that is able to deal with maintenance issues efficiently - all subject to landlords approval and agreement.

We are able to offer Rent Guarantee; we can ensure rent is paid to you on a specified date, this is subject to terms and conditions regardless of whether the tenants have paid their rent or not.

RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY 

We have a large residential portfolio incorporating varying packages to suit the landlord’s needs. For our residential portfolio we offer anything from Full Management to a Tenant Find service - again, we are able to offer Rent Guarantee. We can also arrange to administer the deposit reurn. We have a team of qualified contractors who are self employed, they agree to work with us as a team and use our sophisticated on-line communications and repairs system; they have all been checked and carry their own professional Insurance Indemnity. Many of these contractors have been with us for many years; they understand that privacy for the tenant, and access is very much a personal issue. The contractors understand and adhere to the terms and conditions of the tenancy agreement, ensuring that where-ever possible 24 hours notice is required (emergencies not included) they promise to keep their prices competitive, so that our clients and occasionally our customers can benefit from this arrangement.
